Education
Dr. Irwin is a Sarasota, Florida Pain Management Physician that has been practicing Interventional Pain Management since 2008. He graduated with High Honors from the University of Florida with a degree in Microbiology. He then pursued a dual MD/MBA Degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, and graduated in 2003. Dr. Irwin went on to complete an Anesthesiology Residency in 2007 at the University of South Florida. Long-term pain relief is Dr. Irwin’s main goal for all of his patients.
Pain Fellowship Trained
In order to gain the most thorough knowledge a Pain Management Physician can obtain, he completed a Pain Medicine Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. He has successfully taken and passed certification examinations in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine becoming one of a very small set of Pain Doctors to be dually Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. Dr. Irwin is the former Medical Director for the Mercy Pain Clinic and has over 13 years of experience in the Pain Management Treatment field of medicine as a Pain Specialist. After working at Mercy Hospital for many years, Dr. Irwin opened his own pain treatment clinic in Arkansas and Florida in order to provide a better experience to his patients.

Dr. Irwin lives in Sarasota with his family of four. He enjoys time with his family, golf, and SEC sports.
